T. Balfe Construction was established in 1949 by Timothy Balfe, operating under the name of
T. Balfe Builders and working from its small offices at Norton Disney, Lincolnshire. Timothy
Balfe was keen to provide his customers with the best possible service and ensured that the business instilled an unprecedented level of craftsmanship and expertise throughout all of
its work. This unique approach was soon recognised when, in 1957, the company was
presented with an award for the quality of the Masonry work it had undertaken on the
Old Hall at Collingham, Nottinghamshire.

The company continued to move from strength to strength and in 1972 was renamed
T. Balfe & Son Ltd to mark the appointment of David Balfe, Timothy Balfe’s son.

In 1980 David took over the management of the business, guiding
T. Balfe & Son Ltd into the modern era, relocating its HQ to Fulbeck
in Lincolnshire. David has now also been joined by other members
of the Balfe family, forming a formidable team with excellent
knowledge and craftsmanship.
